Dear Mr. Wayfinder,

I know you don't normally do any kind of romantic advise, but I'd appreciate if you'd help me. There is a boy I like, but he doesn't seem to notice me. I mean, he's nice to me, but he's nice to everyone. How do I get him to notice me as more than just a person to be polite to?

Fuu took her hands off the keyboard and evaluated her work. The message seemed to be what she wanted it to sound like, but would she be a fool to ask this to the school newspaper? She knew that sometimes, people wrote in a pen name instead of their real names. Finally, she erased her name and wrote in "Silent Wings" thinking the name suited her, but is good enough to know that the readers wouldn't guess her. Dropping it into an attachment file, sent it to the school paper's email, addressed to "Ask Mr. Wayfinder," Fuu accomplished what she wanted to do. All there was to do now was wait.

That week at school, the lilac-haired girl continuously asked if the paper was going to be published this week, desperate to know her answer to the letter. Some just rolled their eyes and left, while others replied that they thought it was coming out the next Monday, which left her even more anxious, knowing that the answer to her letter wasn't going to be read until the next week, meaning she had to wait an entire weekend as well!

That Wednesday, she was the last one out of fifth period before leaving to lunch, when Ventus came into the room, dropping off a few books before turning to Fuu. He smiled and offered to walk with her to lunch. It wasn't irregular, though, for the boy was a friendly person, and liked to include everyone. So when he offered it, of course the girl blushed, but she knew better than to let herself be carried away. Sure, this boy was the reason she wrote her letter, but that didn't mean that she was suddenly noticed by him, right?

Fuu finally nodded, accepting his offer, and as the two walked over to the cafeteria, Ventus brought up, "Fuu, I want to ask you something, and promise me you won't tell anybody. Okay?"

The fifteen-year-old girl could feel the blood rise to her cheeks, but looked away to keep it under control. "Yes."

He looked a little uncertain, as the boy gave a nervous laugh and scratched the back of his head, but ended up telling her anyway. "Well, I know you won't tell anyone, and I just have to tell someone about this. Okay," he took a deep breath and continued, "I shouldn't tell you, but I am the school's advise columnist, Mr. Wayfinder, and I got my first romantic advise! And I don't know what to do! I'm not romantic or anything," Ventus sighed. "So Fuu, do you have any idea on what I should do about it?"

Fuu froze when he mentioned this. She wrote a letter about her crush on Ventus, to Ventus? Did he know it was her? He obviously didn't, with the blunt fact that he just asked her for advise with it. She had no other option, but to go with it. "Heart."

Ventus took her word in, and looked into her ruby eye, thinking about how she was trying to put it. Finally, he asked, "You mean, write from my heart?"

Fuu blushed, "Affirmative." He had no idea how nervous she was getting. The girl's legs started to tremble from it, even! What if he found out that she was, in fact, Silent Wings? She shook her head, clearing all thoughts of possible identifications.

"I'll try that. Thanks, Fuu," he said, giving her a warm smile and shown what looked like admiration through his eyes before taking his lunch tray and joining his friends, while Fuu took her spot by herself, pondering the pros and cons to the issue. On one hand, she would be able to get the answer she wants from the person she wants to hear it from, so she knows exactly what she's getting. On the other hand, if he finds out it was her, would he be freaked out and never talk to her again? Or maybe someone else might find out and then tell him that way. But in the end, who would really know how this all could turn out? Certainly not Fuu, and she knew that as well.

The following week was the time Fuu rushed to get a school newspaper as soon as possible, while still attempting to look nonchalant. She didn't want to seem eager to get the paper, no matter how much she desired to know what Ventus replied with. She picked one up, walked off to an empty classroom, and fumbled through the pages, until the page titled "Ask Mr. Wayfinder" came up. She skimmed down to the question she wrote and found her reply.

Dear Silent Wings,

Thank you for asking that. I might not sound so professional when I answer this, hehe, but I'll try my best with it.

I think you should try talking to him more. If he's polite and friendly to you, it's a building block, right? Maybe by saying a few words to him in the hallway or hanging out with this guy will get his attention, and if you get the courage, tell him how you feel. Who knows? He might actually like you more than you think. Just be patient, and results will come. I promise you.

Fuu turned red as a garnet. With a smile, she sighed a sigh of happiness. If that's what Ven wants, she was willing to go outside her comfort area to do it. There he was now! She took a deep breath and with that, she walked out of the classroom and approached the boy.

"Read it," Fuu smiled as she caught up with him. He turned around, noticing her, and mirrored the smile.

"Hey Fuu. I gotta thank you for the advise. I guess it takes advise to give advise, huh?" he chuckled a little from it. "And who knows, maybe this Silent Wings girl will get results. I'm pretty sure she will," said as he winked at her.

Fuu blushed, but smiled back, taking the hint, "Maybe."
